Hey there! I'm here on behalf of #Traditional-Artists to make sure you get all the feedback this piece gained at our last Critique Night! :aww:

I hope it is helpful and you can use it for your future work! :)

“I like the distressed feel to the murky background transpiring to the realism of the portrait itself. The mixed style of the sketched face against the painted surrounding really adds emphasis. Try to pay attention to perspective specifically here with the two nostrils. The left of the nose is a little distorted; overall good job.”

“I've seen this piece, the female's expression and the way it's painted makes it feel somewhat relaxing.”

“I'll try do a brief comment, the face is well balanced, as well as the colours, the shadows are right too, on this kind of painting, like watercolours, despite its being hard to find the right proportion, The lady is a bit serious but at the same time relieved. Reliel you did well!”

"Oh, a fascinating piece. I think it's very well balanced, the upper part dark with the face as contrast and the lower part light with her collar as contrast. Try to use such things in your work, it's subtle, but pleases the eye.
Now, I noted tw or three anatomy issues: As was already said, her right nostril (on our left) should not be visible from this angle. Look into a mirror: you would probably see the nose bridge and the ala of the nose, and inbetween a tiny shadow where the nostril begins, depending on the nose you paint. On the other hand there's her mouth. It is beautifully done, your technique brings a lovely gloss to the lips - I only feel that they should bend more around the cigarette. the way you did it i seems a little as if you simply stuck the cigarette into the picture; a rounding of the lips around it and some shadows would make it more believable.
But apart from that it is gorgeous, her expression is very strong thanks to those beautiful eyelashes and her pose, and your technique is remarkable. The mixture of wet-in-wet and wet-in-dry create this wonderfully gloomy, mysterious, smoky atmosphere, giving the piece life and makin it interesting to look at. Good job!"
